The miraculous icon of the Mother of God is Quick–hearing, on the left - Quick-responding - on the right

This icon, revered as miraculous and painted on the Holy Mount Athos around the X–XI centuries, is kept in the Dohiar monastery. In Cyprus, in one of the oldest churches in Nicosia, there is a unique image of the Virgin, called the Quick-hearing and Quick-Responding.

The image of the icon of the Mother of God the Quick-Hearer belongs to the type of Hodegetria: the frontally depicted Theotokos points with her right hand at Jesus. The Infant sitting on the left hand of the Mother of God blesses with his right hand, and holds a scroll in his left. A characteristic detail of the icon is the right heel of the Virgin Child facing the worshippers.

In the church of Chrysoliniotissa – the Virgin of the Golden Linen Fields – to the right of the Royal Gates, on the altar barrier there is a unique icon with two like mirror images of the Blessed Virgin and Child. Above each there is an inscription: on the right – Pliroforusa (Quick–hearing), on the left - Ergoepikos (Quick-responding).

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
