Custom Orthodox Icon on Wood — Your Image, Your Saint, Your Choice
Looking for a particular Orthodox icon that you cannot find in our shop? We can create a custom wooden icon especially for you.
Choose an icon of Jesus Christ, the Mother of God, a patron saint, an angel, a Christian feast or a rare historical iconographic subject.
You can upload an image, provide a link to an existing icon or simply tell us the name of the saint or composition you are looking for.
Every icon is individually produced and hand-finished in our family workshop in Portugal.
How to Order Your Custom Icon
1. Choose your size
Select one of our standard wooden icon sizes:
- 12 × 15 cm (5 × 6 inches)
- 23 × 30 cm (9 × 12 inches)
- 30 × 39 cm (12 × 15 inches)
2. Upload your image
(Not necessarily, if we have already discussed the image)
Attach the image you would like us to reproduce. You may also provide a link to an image or an existing product in our shop.
If you do not have an image, tell us which saint or Orthodox icon you are looking for - info@iconsofsaints.com
3. Add your instructions
You can specify the icon's title, preferred inscription, background or other details.
4. We review your request
We check the image quality, proportions and suitability for printing. If clarification or a different source image is needed, we will contact you before production.
5. Your icon is made in Portugal
We prepare the wooden panel, reproduce the selected artwork directly on its surface and individually finish the icon with natural beeswax.

Our Wooden Icons
Our icons are made using a carefully prepared wooden panel, detailed UV pigment printing, protective varnish and an individually applied natural beeswax finish.
- Direct printing on wooden panel — no paper or canvas
- Detailed reproduction of sacred artwork
- Hand-finished sides and back
- Hanging attachment included
- Individually produced in Portugal
Our icons are reproductions of Christian sacred artwork, not entirely hand-painted icons. Gold-colored details are printed colors rather than genuine gold leaf.
Image Quality and Customization
For the best results, please upload the highest-resolution image available.
We can review historical icon reproductions, images of saints and Christian artwork from Orthodox and other traditional Christian iconographic traditions.
Minor adjustments may be possible, depending on the source image.
Complex restoration, extensive image editing, original artwork creation and non-standard dimensions may require a separate quotation.
Please provide an image you have the right to reproduce or that is available for lawful reproduction.
Production and Shipping
Standard custom icons are generally prepared within a few business days after the artwork and order details are confirmed.
Every icon is carefully packed and shipped from Portugal.
International delivery is available. Shipping costs and delivery options are displayed at checkout.
