Saint Wulfstan of Worcester (c. 1008–1095) was an English bishop, monk and reformer who guided the Church of Worcester through one of the most turbulent periods in English history.
He became Bishop of Worcester in 1062, only four years before the Norman Conquest. While many Anglo-Saxon bishops were later replaced, Wulfstan remained in office and served as bishop until his death in 1095. Worcester Cathedral records him as the only pre-Conquest bishop to remain in his see after the Norman takeover and, by 1075, the only English-born bishop still holding an English bishopric.
Today Saint Wulfstan is remembered by Christians for his pastoral care, simple monastic life, opposition to slavery and lasting connection with Worcester Cathedral.

Before becoming bishop, Wulfstan lived the monastic life at Worcester, where he served in several offices and eventually became prior.
