Saint Martyr Anna of Adrianople. Wooden orthodox icon.

The Holy Martyrs Alexander the Bishop, Irakli the Warrior, and the Women Anna, Elizabeth, Theodotia, and Glyceria were killed in the 3rd century in Adrianople for confessing Christ. This century is known as the time of the spread of Christianity among the pagans. Despite the persecution of Christians, Bishop Alexander fearlessly converted many pagans to the holy saving faith and baptized them. The head of the region where the saint lived ordered the soldiers to torture Alexander to renounce Christ. The saint patiently endured terrible tortures. Struck by this, the warrior Irakli came to believe in Christ, for Whom Bishop Alexander suffered. Following him, Anna, Elizabeth, Theodotia, and Glyceria confessed themselves Christians.

Commemorated on November 4

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.

You can buy the icon in three sizes:
