Orthodox Icon of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ with God the Father (Sabaoth)
This exquisite 18th-century Orthodox icon depicts the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ against a background of a sunset sky, symbolizing the transition from suffering to divine glory. At the top of the cross, God the Father (Sabaoth) is portrayed, emphasizing the divine authority and eternal presence of the Holy Trinity. At the foot of the cross, a skull represents Golgotha, the “Place of the Skull,” traditionally linked to Adam’s burial site and the redemption of humanity through Christ’s sacrifice. This icon is a powerful representation of Christ’s Passion, atonement for sin, and the triumph of divine love.

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board (mdf). Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 1,6 cm. The board is covered with primer. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
