Wooden Icon of the Mother of God Introduction to the Temple
Many details of the images have a symbolic interpretation associated with the akathist, where the Virgin Mary is called the ladder of heaven, the door of salvation, the light -imprisoned candle and animated temple.
On the icon "Introduction of the Virgin" is the Virgin Mary, her parents who give her daughter to the elder of Zachariah, accompanying Mary young virgins with burning candles.
