The iconography is based on a story from the Gospel, which tells how Christ appeared to the disciples after the Resurrection, but Thomas was not with them at that time, and when the apostles told him about it, he did not want to believe it at all: “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” (Gospel of John, 20). And so the Savior appears to the disciples again and shows Thomas His wounds so that he can touch them and be convinced of the truth of the Resurrection.

Seeing the Lord before him with the marks of the crucifixion, Thomas could only say: “My Lord and my God!” And Jesus said to him: “You have believed because you have seen Me; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

This icon helps us not to lose our Path in the Faith of Christ, not to doubt with crafty unbelief.

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
