At the top is the blessing Jesus Christ

This exquisite icon depicts the Holy Martyr Natalia at the center, flanked by the Guardian Angel on the left and Saint Procopius the Decapolite on the right. Above them, Jesus Christ is shown in a blessing gesture. The original icon, painted in 1853, is preserved in a private collection.

Crafted in the traditional Orthodox style, this icon is rich in symbolism and spiritual depth. The presence of the Guardian Angel represents divine protection, while Saint Procopius the Decapolite, a defender of Orthodox Christianity against iconoclasm, holds a scroll with sacred writings.

This icon is a beautiful and meaningful representation of faith, ideal for personal devotion or as a treasured addition to any religious collection.

Life of Saint Natalia:

Saint Natalia is revered as a steadfast Christian martyr. She supported her husband, Saint Adrian, during his suffering for the faith. After his execution, Natalia remained devoted to Christ, ultimately passing away in peace, filled with faith and spiritual love.

Life of Saint Procopius the Decapolite:

Saint Procopius was born in Decapolis, east of the Sea of Galilee. He abandoned worldly life to embrace monasticism, dedicating his days to prayer and asceticism. A defender of Orthodox traditions, he opposed the iconoclastic heresy promoted by Emperor Leo III the Isaurian, who banned the veneration of icons.

Saint Procopius, alongside other defenders of the faith, was imprisoned and subjected to severe tortures. He endured beatings and was wounded with iron instruments before being cast into a dark dungeon. He remained imprisoned until the death of Emperor Leo. Upon release, he returned to monastic life, spending his final years in peace and devotion.

Saint Procopius passed away in old age, having remained faithful to Christ and the veneration of holy icons. His unwavering faith and endurance earned him great rewards in heaven, where he now stands before Christ, whom he so fervently served on earth.

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.

You can buy the icon in three sizes:

  • 13 х 10 centimeters (5,1 x 3,9 inches)
  • 19 х 15 centimeters (7,5 x 5,9 inches)
  • 26 х 21 centimeters (10,2 x 8,3 inches)

Our icons are made by Orthodox craftsmen. You can read more about the technology here.

We hope it will be a good gift for you and your loved ones.
