Wooden Icon of Deisus (Deisis). The image of Jesus Christ with the upcoming Mother of God and John the Forerunner

Deisis (from Greek — prayer; there is also a not quite correct Russian form of pronunciation – "Deisus") – the icon of the Mother of God turned to Jesus Christ, and on the right – the image of John the Baptist, presented in the traditional gesture of prayer, intercession.

Saints are depicted on the edges of the icon:

• Archangel Michael
• Nicholas the Wonderworker
• The Apostle John the Theologian
• St. Sergius of Radonezh the Wonderworker
• The Apostle Peter
• The Apostle Paul

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
