Orthodox Icon of Jesus Christ Pantocrator

🕊️ A Radiant Masterpiece of Russian Sacred Art

This handmade Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator is a high-quality reproduction of one of the most revered and spiritually profound images in Christian art — the Zvenigorod Savior by Andrei Rublev, a 15th-century iconographer canonized as a saint of the Orthodox Church. The original icon is preserved in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, and admired worldwide for its quiet majesty, compassionate expression, and divine radiance.

The face of Christ in this icon glows with inner light — a powerful symbol of love, forgiveness, and eternal wisdom. The expression is gentle and wise, drawing viewers into a moment of sacred contemplation. Whether placed in a home altar or given as a gift, this icon brings peace and presence to any spiritual space.

The "Christ Pantocrator" Icon – A Masterpiece of Ancient Russian Iconography

The “Christ Pantocrator” icon is the pinnacle of ancient Russian icon painting, recognized by UNESCO as a treasure of humanity. This is not just a sacred image but a masterpiece of genius, where Andrei Rublev fused profound theological meaning with artistic perfection. Soft contours, Rublev’s unique color palette, and the deeply spiritual face of Christ have shaped the entire Orthodox tradition.

🔹 A Symbol of Wisdom and Love
Unlike the rigid Byzantine canon, Rublev’s Christ radiates mercy and divine light. His gaze penetrates the soul, combining omniscience with infinite compassion. The icon is often called “living” — as if Christ’s expression shifts in response to the prayerful state of the viewer.

    Nice Icon

The Icon of Christ Pantocrator, which I received is a very nice reproduction of Andrei Rublev's work. Vivid colors. A few things I have noticed immediately is some blistering on the surface, which might be a result of making the print in not so very clean environment and the awkward smell. Beewax does not have this strong indication of organic smell on its own. Also, and it was discussed with the maker prior to placement of the order, the Icon is made on the MDF and not wooden board. It would make a difference during the natural aging of the piece. All in all it is a good product, yet overpriced heavily.
