The Holy Blessed Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky (1110-1174), the grandson of Vladimir Monomakh, the son of Yuri Dolgoruky and the Polovtsian princess in holy baptism Maria, was called Bogolyubsky in his youth for his constant deep prayerful attention, diligence in church services, great spiritual concentration, love for the Word of God and the habit of turning to the Bible in all situations of life.
