Icon of the Holy Great Martyr Dmitry (Demetrius) of Thessaloniki
Since the VII century, at the shrine of St. Demetrius, fragrant and miraculous myrrh began to flow, as contemporaries wrote about. In the XIV century, Demetrius the Chrysologist wrote about him: miro "is not water in its properties, but is thicker than it and does not resemble any of the substances known to us... It is more amazing than all incense, not only artificial, but also created by nature by God." For this reason, the Great Martyr Demetrius was called Myrrh-streaming.
A memento of kindness, an icon is a heart-filled gesture.
The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
You can buy the icon in three sizes:
- 13 х 10 centimeters (5,1 x 3,9 inches)
