The history of the image says that one person (“Someone Man”), who led a sinful life, was nevertheless attached to the Mother of God with a feeling of reverent love and prayed daily before Her icon.

One day, getting ready to go on a sinful deed, he turned to the icon of the Mother of God, but then suddenly awe came over him, and he saw that the image of the Mother of God seemed to be moving, and the Divine Infant had ulcers on his arms, legs, and in the side, and from blood gushed out from them. “You and other sinners are again crucifying My Son with your sins, like the Jews,” the Mother of God spoke. In trepidation, the sinner asked the Savior for forgiveness of his sins. Finally, the Divine Infant answered the request of the Mother of God: “I will fulfill Your request, for Your sake I forgive this man his sins. Let him kiss My sores as a sign of forgiveness.”

Rising from the ground, the forgiven sinner kissed the savior's sores with inexpressible joy. From then on he began to lead a pious life. This event gave rise to the painting of the icon of the Mother of God "Unexpected Joy".

The icon is made by printing on a wooden board. Paints are mineral, do not fade with time. The thickness of the board is 2 cm. The board is covered with primer by hand. The image is covered with wax. Each icon has a metal mount on the back side so that you can hang the icon on the wall.
