Holy Blessed Princes Passion-Bearers Boris and Gleb (in Holy Baptism - Roman and David). They were the younger sons of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. They were brought up in Christian piety. The eldest of sports - Boris received a good education. He loved to read Holy Scripture, the work of the holy fathers, and especially the lives of the saints.
Obaa was distinguished by his arrival and kindness of heart, imitating the example of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir, merciful and sympathetic to the poor, sick, and destitute.
Both hands of their older brother Svyatopolk died, not wanting to raise their hands against their blood brother.
