Saint Solomon, son of David from his wife Bathsheba, third king of all Israel, anointed king at the age of 12 and reigned for 40 years. Solomon's power was so great that it extended to all the neighboring nations that were his tributaries (1 Kings 10:24-26). His glory and wealth were so great that all the kings of the earth, according to the Sacred History, wanted to see Solomon’s wealth and listen to his wisdom. He died peacefully, leaving behind the works: Proverbs, Wisdom, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs.
